I really love the Apple Mail app (on macOS)... but somewhere during the summer betas it began experiencing problems. It would take up to 1 minute to load the main window. Removing all accounts did not help.

By mistake, I created a duplicate copy of the Mail app. No idea how, but I think I wanted to drag it to the dock but then didn't... and I pushed it back into the app folder. BOOM, duplicate.

I dragged the duplicate into the Trash and AppCleaner picked it up. Gave me the options to delete the preferences... and so I did.

It never occurred to me to do that as, traditionally, you cannot remove pre-installed apps.

The problem was solved.

Back to happy days.
