One of the things I don't like doing is bookkeeping — even with an accountant (she's very nice though). Now it's all mostly automated.

It grabs invoices, costs etc, from my emails and upload them via API to my accounting software (but only if they meet the criteria). Checks my bank account (via API too) to see if it came or went. It's pretty cool.

For Stripe and other self serve things, I just give it the PDF and it does the right thing and uploads and creates those in the system.

Don't have to think about it. It marks what it needs to.

Every Monday morning I also get a money snapshot (ins, outs, personal & business). Suggestions, where I need to move stuff, how much I could invest when I have the availability (it knows my tiny portfolio).

It also applies correct money moves to some side pots for tax and social payments as and when I have things coming in — because I was always really shit with making sure I am on top of things. (Doesn't do payments though — still needs my eyeballs.)

It knows deadlines for tax and social, pings me, checks my pots — checks the accounting software what I owe. It knows where I am behind or ahead. Moves the amounts it needs to so I can catch up, or so we break even (without starving me haha). Can't ask for more really.

And when there is any money related email, like renewals, or something I missed from the government, it knows about it and then lets me know if I need to do anything — otherwise it's all quiet.

Saves me more than a few hours each month on something I never want to touch or am actually interested in.

This started as a side project locally — but now it's just something else.

All in all, this whole thing really turned things around for me.

So very awesome!
